You can Remove the Detachable antenna amplifier if your house is within 20 miles range from the tower. We do NOT Recommend to use this amplifier or booster if your house is very close to the broadcast tower and the signal is already very strong.
① Check to make sure you have correctly connected the hd antenna to your HDTV or third-party HD receiver.
② Re-scan for channels: In the TV's setup menu, set the mode to hdtv antenna or air. Refer to the TV manual for detailed instructions.
③ Reposition the indoor hd antenna in a different location. It is suggested place it higher on a wall or closer to a window. Sometimes moving a few feet can make a difference.
④ keep the hdtv antenna away from those big power consumption devices interference, such as air conditioner, refrigerator, and microwave oven, etc.

② Less than 20 miles from the signal base station is not recommended to use the amplifier, more than 20 miles, plug in the USB, the amplifier began to work, to better receive the signal;
③ HDTV does not require a set-top box to connect the antenna to operate "channel search". The process may take 2-10 minutes. Non-HDTV needs to connect the antenna to the set-top box to find the program.
④ When placing the antenna in the room, it is recommended to try a different location to find the best receiving location.

Works Great. Well worth the Money
The TV in my home office is streaming only which is perfext 98% of the time. A few Sundays ago, I discovered that if you want to watch NFL games on CBS, you can’t stream for free, even if you have CBS in an included TV package. They want you to pay $5.99/month to stream CBS online. Nope. I bought this on amazon that day and hooked it up a few days later. I live in Houston so this picks up around 80 channels. Some are a lot better picture quality than others, but NBC, ABC, Fox and CBS are all crystal clear. CBS static outs every now and then but this is well worth the $20 price tag. -
Works great! Easy to setup and install
We could get about 60 channels when using this in the living room, but CBS wasn't coming in at all. So we put it up in the attic and ran the LONG cable down the wall where the previous Coax cable was installed. Suddenly over 90 channels came in and CBS was crystal clear. So happy to be able to 'cut the cord' now! -
It is an indoor antenna ...
It is an indoor antenna, like any antenna the environment around it effects your results. I got a few channels with it, but we live behind a hill, so it was not that great. not the antenna's fault, but it is what it is. -

I was able to get 23 channels. Only half came in crystal clear. Recommend it over cable. -
