Step 3: Scan for channels and access all your favorite local and national programs completely for no need pay money.
You can Remove the Detachable antenna amplifier if your house is within 20 miles range from the tower. We do NOT Recommend to use this amplifier or booster if your house is very close to the broadcast tower and the signal is already very strong.
① Check to make sure you have correctly connected the hd antenna to your HDTV or third-party HD receiver.
② Re-scan for channels: In the TV's setup menu, set the mode to hdtv antenna or air. Refer to the TV manual for detailed instructions.
③ Reposition the indoor hd antenna in a different location. It is suggested place it higher on a wall or closer to a window. Sometimes moving a few feet can make a difference.

Got Rid of Cable!!!Fulfilled my New Year's resolution to get rid of cable. Process could not have been easier. I have never hooked up an antenna before...it literally took me about 10 minutes. Get around 50 channels, although I really just wanted the few local/larger networks, since I rarely watch TV. They come in great. I did not bother with the amplifier...not needed. Since this antenna worked out so well, I ordered a second one for my upstairs TV, which then only took me 5 minutes to install - I'm a pro now. The antenna itself is simply sitting behind the TVs out of view. (It is an extremely thin, flat, flimsy thing.) This is going to save me over $1000/year. Highly recommend!
You can imagine my delight to be able to install the Vansky 2018I am of an age when I can re-call those times when it was necessary to climb a ladder, to get to the home's rooftop, to then install a very heavy, and overally cumbersome, television antenna. You can imagine my delight to be able to install the Vansky 2018, very lightweight, tv antenna. As well, the accompanying instructions were extremely simple to follow. All-in-all, I had the antenna mounted, and operating, in less than ten minutes. That timing included the re-placement of the furniture. To add further happiness, the picture quality is simply outstanding. I am very pleased that I came across your fine product on Amazon.Kindest regards,Tom
Surprised and PleasedI live in a valley area surrounded by hills, and OTA radio and TV signals are not easy to get here. I ordered this antenna with no particular expectations, intending to return it if it didn't work well. But I was surprised and pleased to discover that it enabled me to receive 16 OTA channels. I tried it first without using the (included) amplifier, but adding the amplifier significantly boosted the number of channels I could receive. 16 channels isn't great, but it's a whole lot better than nothing, and at least I get a couple of major networks, including CBS and PBS. This is no substitute for cable TV., but at least the channels don't cost anything.
1Star If you don't get your stations 5Stars if you doThe item itself works great. I placed it in a location that I thought would work best and picked up 26 stations. Howeverer, I could not aesthetically attach the antenna to that location. I moved it to another location on the wall by the tv facing a window. I picked up 29 stations. Unfortunately, I could not pick up NBC and more importantly PBS. ABC and CBS came in quite clearly. It appears that those stations that I cannot pick up are less than 50 miles away but have a much weaker signal. I'll experiment some more with locations to see if I can pick up the two missing stations. So, one star if it doesn't pick up the stations you want and 5 stars if it does. The "mechanics" of the item itself are great. Easy installation. Use painters tape for experimental locations. The tape on the item will take the paint off of the wall. It sticks really well!
thanks for making returns comfortable and easy-- BTW) The HD quality has amplified and ...I have purchased three other amplifiers and bought this one after reading all the reviews. My living room television lost channels and would pixel daily. I figured for the cost why not give this a shot, I could always return it if it did not work. (AMAZON you rock, thanks for making returns comfortable and easy-- BTW) The HD quality has amplified and I get SO many more stations -- its only been one day, but everything is crystal clear so far. I love this and may just purchase another for the hard to capture channels television in my basement. That will be the true test.
but it seems to work best when you stick it to a windowNot sure what to say about this product. It certainly works, but it seems to work best when you stick it to a window. But I still had problems getting signals that did not go in and out. Yes, and amplified system is better than a non-amplified system, as I have one of those too, but there are other ways to get basic television stations. It is difficult for me to recommend any kind of over the air transmission receiver regarding video. But I am reviewing this unit and I can say that there is nothing defective about it. Depending on where you live is probably going to determine the kind of signal that you get. That is why I am giving it four stars. There is nothing wrong with this unit, but I'm not really using it. Perhaps I would if there was some kind of emergency, and I had to get digital broadcasting television stations in my city.

It's wall mounted - so we had to take it off the wall anchors, and then put it back on the wall anchors. Not as easy as it sounds, but doable. Once that was safely accomplished, it was really easy to channel search, and the channels that the antenna found came in clearly. Most of the channels aren't of interest (around 24), but did include the ones we're most interested in - such as sports, news, PBS (around ten or twelve). Am now buying another one for our other tv. Depending on where you live, you may get more or less channels, so definitely use the suggested website and do a search before your purchase. We're pretty urban, so may have better results than others.
Great purchaseI bought one of these because I'm to poor to pay for cable and my rabbit ears just weren't cutting it anymore, and I have to say I'm impressed! I was really skeptical and did a lot of research before spending $$, but seriously this thing is awesome! It's not the most attractive thing connected to my window, but free tv is free tv
Amazing Signal and can pick up many channelsThe antenna is amazing. Period. Before using the antenna I used a older antenna provided by Time Warner Cable which only got us close to only 20 channels. When we installed this indoors we got over 150 channels which is immensely more that what we had expected from other reviews. I can only imagine how many channels we can get if we put it on the glass window. The actual antenna is a floppy plastic piece connected to a wire that is then connected to an amplifier or your tv directly. BE WARNED. If you walk past the antenna you may see some grainy footage in the next few seconds which lasts for a max 3 seconds. It's a small kink but it is fine for most consumers.
